One of the best games ever made. Period.
Naughty Dog is back with their fourth installment of the Uncharted Series, and it takes full advantage of the hardware on the PlayStation 4. The level design is gorgeous, the cut scenes are well done, and the gameplay is fun, at times challenging, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s like watching, and being in, your very own Indiana Jones movie.
The best part about the game is the level of detail and polish they put into it. They made sure the little things were done correctly: meaningless banter between the characters while you’re climbing a cliff face, or the way the cut scenes seamlessly transition into live gameplay. Another character will casually say to you, after you’ve been looking around for something for a while, “hey, check out over here.” It feels genuine, like you and the other characters are actually interacting. And the dialogue is pretty good. Compared to most games that aren’t well written, Uncharted 4 is a refreshing improvement.
